HIGHcms is a website management system designed to meet all your requirements. Architecture of the system allows easy adaptation regardless of the type of data that will be presented on the site. The main goal for our system was to build an easy-to-use tool that prepare the website properly for positioning in search engines (e.g. Google).
Basic functions of the HIGHcms system:
- free number of the language versions of your website
- pages - managing an unlimited number of pages (e.g. Services, About us)
- news - managing an unlimited number of news
- articles - managing an unlimited number of articles, specifying the author and category
- pages / news / articles edited in graphical mode by WYSIWYG editor, formatting options: bold, italic, underline, change size / font color, editing links to pages / documents, and much more
- metatags - managing of keywords, description, robots and title for each page, which affects the position of the entire site in search engines (SEO)
- images library - managing an unlimited number of photos and galleries, automatically or manually generated thumbnails, setting an alternative description for each image in all available language versions, possibility of sorting images in the galleries, different modes of displaying images on the frontend
- documents library - managing an unlimited number of documents such as presentations, text files or brochures, possibility to link documents on any page from WYSIWYG editor
- admin users - advanced management of users having the access to the administration panel, assigning permissions for groups (e.g. moderators can only add or edit articles on the site, while the main admin has the access to all site settings)
- dynamic forms and modules - the possibility of placing the forms and modules on any page (e.g. contact form, 'recommend us to a friend' form, interactive maps, list of articles, list of products, etc.)
- web statistics - attaching different kinds of statistics systems, e.g. Google Analytics
- site verification meta tag - used by Google - Webmaster Tools or Bing - Webmaster Center or Yahoo - Site Explorer for identification of the site owner, it allows to access advanced information about the website
- multilanguage administration panel - currently 2 versions available: English and Polish, other languages will be added in the future
- configurable URL addresses - complete control over the appearance of URLs, each language version has separate set of the prefixes for main types of data, e.g. 'article' for articles, 'gallery' for galleries or 'service' for services
- user-friendly URLs - automatically generated based on the page title with the possibility of any edition, e.g. http://www.your-domain.co.uk/article/your-interesting-title-for-article or http://www.your-domain.co.uk/service/name-of-your-service
- meta canonical support - solves duplicate content issues on the site by preventing tagged URL's from being indexed by crawlers
- configurable date and time of the publication for pages / news / articles / galleries - you can add the page and set the date in the future, from which it will be available on the website, as well as the ending date of its publication
- advanced site content indexing (pages / news / articles) - used to search the content on the site, the possibility of determining which pages should be added to the index, option to rebuild the search index
- frontend sitemap - automatically generated sitemap as a tree of links based on the structure of the site, it allows quick access to interesting information, both by users and search engine robots
- static text elements - managing of all text elements (names of buttons, communications, information, headers), easy for creating translations for each new language version of the site
- company data - managing company data (company name, phone number, email, address, VAT registration number, etc.)
- menu - possibility to change the order of items in the menu, setting additional options for each additional item such as name, whether the link should open a new window
- tags - assigning tags to pages / news / articles, which are used to identify similar elements in the service and offer them to users, from all the tags in the service there will be generated a "tag cloud"
- banners - managing banner ads on the site with the possibility to set limit of impressions / clicks and pages on which they will appear
- RSS module - managing an unlimited number of RSS feeds, each channel can be configured separately (e.g. which pages / news / articles will be published in, the maximum number of items, an additional description of the channel)
- FAQ (frequently asked questions and answers) - managing an unlimited number of questions and answers that facilitate communication with the clients
- testimonials - managing an unlimited number of testimonials, which enhances the credibility of your business
- sitemap - generating a dynamic sitemap.xml file which contains links to all pages, it facilitates the SEO process by indicating to robots which pages should be visited and with what frequency
- cache - an advanced system for caching pages for fast loading of pages, option to enable / disable cache for any page
- anti-spam system - each message sent by the client from the contact form or comment added to the news / article passes through a spam filter, over which you have a complete control, you can add / remove words that will block unwanted content
- contact form - helps potential customers contact us with your company, the form may include any kind of options that precisely direct the clients at your services
- recommend the site to a friend - form by which a user can send an email with brief information about your site to a friend (another person), the e-mail will contain a direct link to the site
- add to favourites - an option that allows to add a site (current page) to the favourite list
- print option - a specially formatted CSS style sheet that allows to print the page only with the most important elements without graphics, banners, or menus
- option to zoom in/out text - user can adapt the text size according to his / her individual preferences by using the '+' and '-' icons, it is also possible to set the default size ('reset' button)
